Project Light Touch allows for dynamic manipulation of lighting in images, enabling users to adjust direction, color, and intensity in real time. Another experiment, Project Clean Take, uses AI to correct mispronunciations and alter vocal tone or emotion while keeping the speaker’s original voice intact. Additional previews included tools for swapping surface materials, editing 2D images like 3D objects, and adjusting photo depth. While these features aren’t yet available, past “sneaks” have evolved into official Adobe tools, hinting that these innovations could soon reach Creative Cloud users.
Canva has introduced its Creative Operating System, a unified environment that connects design, brand management, and marketing execution. The launch includes a rebuilt Visual Suite with an improved video editor, new form and data tools, and an AI-driven Canva Design Model that generates editable designs instead of static images. Integrated features like Style Match, Magic Background, and Ask @Canva help maintain consistency and streamline design workflows. The system also introduces Canva Grow, which automates campaign creation and connects to ad accounts, and a new Brand Kit homepage that centralizes brand assets. Additionally, the company announced that Affinity will now be free and directly integrated with Canva, creating a bridge between professional design tools and collaborative publishing. CEO Melanie Perkins described the launch as marking the beginning of the “Imagination Era,” where creativity is augmented by technology.
Adobe’s latest survey of 16,000 global creators found that 86% now use generative AI in their workflows, with most saying it helps them create content they couldn’t have made otherwise. Editing, upscaling, and enhancing media were the most common uses, followed by asset generation and brainstorming. While 85% believe AI has positively impacted the creator economy, many still worry about their work being used to train models without consent. High costs and inconsistent quality remain challenges, but optimism around agentic AI is growing, with creators hoping it will automate repetitive tasks and boost ideation. Adobe also noted that as mobile creation rises, it aims to make professional AI tools more accessible beyond desktop environments.
